And... I'm finished.

4 minutes, 17 seconds. Competition Piece No. 1, two sub-movements entitled "An Epic Battle" and "The Aftermath."

I'm very anxious to share this, because besides the fact that I'm competing for a performance, I am very happy with what I ended up with.

Not that I think I have any chance at all, anyway.

Ok!! It's good to see that people are finishing...!!

As for myself, I am underway in the last section of my piece, out of three sections and a short coda. I should definitely be finished before Friday, if not done by Friday night.

I was actually done a week ago but wanted to rest from the piece a bit so that I can see it from another perspective later on.

Now for the final touches

I see a few people dropped out. Thats unfortunate.

I was going to wait to submit mine, but I turned it in today.

Ok, good! Thanks, Invsionary. That reminds me of an announcement I wanted to make:

ALL COMPOSERS, PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR PIECES, it will make organizing the end of this competition go quicker if we know who has done what. So far I have Invisionary down as 'submitted'.

I will PM this to everyone as well.

I sent out an email to all competitors reminding them of the deadline. I tried to make it a little more friendly than the last one.

Also included in that email is the instruction to post in this thread once the competitor has submitted the piece to Thomas, as per your latest announcement, Nick.

To quote Marius, "Tell Nick I can't send anything so I respectfully drop out."
He is officially out of it...
