Film Score: Atonement

Did anyone else happen to see Atonement? I usually enjoy anything Dario Marianelli does, but I thought this time around was deliciously clever, especially what he did with the typewriter sound as percussion and the hemioles he used! Loved that!

I have not seen it. I do know, however, that it won an Oscar for best music.

Yes, I heard about the Oscar, but haven't heard any of the music, any clips on the 'tube?

I am delighted to know that. I missed the Oscars. It is well-earned.

The soundtrack is available on the iTunes store. The good one is called "Briony."

I heard There Will Be Blood had an amazing soundtrack as well, but it wasn't eligible because part of it was used somewhere else, or because of a snippet of Beethoven that was in the movie.

I've seen neither.

Yes, I bought that sheet music. Love the one entitled "Stars and Butterflies."
