Final Fantasy I Piano Album Project

Hello all! The point of this project is to create a handful of excellent concert pieces for solo piano based on the soundtrack to Final Fantasy I (a video game first released 1987), basically making a giant YC ''suite mosaique''. Everyone may participate! Just post if you wish to reserve a track. (you're limited to 3 tracks)

Let the tunes inspire you...

And please do participate even if you give squat about games! The purpose here is to take something very minimal and expand on it.

Tracklist
01) Prelude Nirvana69
02) Opening Theme [MusicManJ4]
03) Cornelia Castle [oboehazzard] DONE!!
04) Main Theme [Berlioz] (tentative)
05) Garland's Temple [bob_the_sane] (tentative)
06) Matoya's Cave [Marius]
07) City Theme [sebastian]
08) Shop Theme [Bob Taylon]
09) Sailing Ship [Mike]
10) Underwater Palace [Daniel] (tentative)
11) Gurgu Volcano [Anders]

13) Battle Scene [robbinjessome]
14) Victory! [Qccowboy] (tentative)
15) Ending Theme [bob stole my cookie]
16) Dead Music [oboehazzard]

I have attached midis of all the pieces. Note that you have to change the extension of the file from .txt to .zip.

DISCLAIMER: Posting your arrangement to this forum is prohibited. When you've finished your arrangement, send it to andershegrehaaland (at) hotmail.com. I will publish the album somewhere else. (I'll send you a pm with a link)

Actually, I think i'm going to change my reservation to Gurgu Volcano. Would you like me to put you down for Matoya?

I've never realised how simple this music actually is until you said, "... take something very minimal and expand on it."

I'm calling 13 - Airship and 2 - Opening Theme

Does the ensemble type matter? Like full orchestra, band, string quartet, brass choir, ect.

Whoa, duh! I got a little too excited and forgot! I was all ready for a kickin' brass arrangement of Airship, too. Oh well.

I'll do the opening theme, but not airship, then. Sound good?
(now that I've made a thorough ass of myself )

Yep. I've added ya. Robin Requested ''battle scene'', I added him too.

I would have loved to do a suite with a bunch of random ensembles, but I'm trying to make this an easy thing to perform.
