Finale Allegro 2007b - GPO Integration

Hello everybody

I am new around here and i would like to ask you guys some questions about the adventure that i am dealing with called "music"

Well, i have Finale Allegro 2007b and GPO. I had them separately and installed them separately too. But even though I've made searches, i couldn't find a way to integrate my GPO with my Finale.

In the video tutorials, it says that GPO should automatically appear in the setup wizard screen as you choose the instruments. But it doesn't

So happy to be here with people who care for music. I hope you can find a way out for my little problem...

Thanks, ngawethuu

Your problem is pretty basic: Allegro doesn't support GPO integration - it's got virtually no sequencing capabilities. You need the full version of Finale for that.

Ok Marius thanks. I solved the problem by downloading Finale 2008.

But while the program is running, it gets too slow and then makes the pc freeze. And it freezes at the start, with the very fisrt note i enter . I have a Pentium 4 1,8 Ghz processor and 1 gb ram. Do you think it is enough to work fine at this system?
And also my Windows XP is getting a little bit tired i guess. It's not stable no more according to the first day i installed Windows.

How long are you waiting before you Ctrl+Alt+Del? When I used Finale on my old computer, which has similar specs to yours, it always took 5-10 minutes to load sounds for a full orchestra. During this time it gave all appearances of being locked up. So my advice is: Get the sounds loading, then leave it and go do something else for half an hour. Hopefully when you come back it will be done loading. How long it takes to load also depends on how many sounds you're loading, so you could also try only loading up one instrument and see if that works.

Well, not much. When i do Ctrl+alt+del, it appears pretty quick. And Garritan loads about 1 minute -depends on the instrument, maybe more or less-. Until here everything's fine but while the program's running it sometimes freezes and i can't trust to a program that freezes with some simple instrumentation.Think 10 instruments together and think that you couldn't save it because of freezes, it would be disaster
So i figured it out by switching to Finale Allegro 2007b. I can't use any samples yet but it is enough for everything else so far.
Also i can open Allegro files with Finale 2008. But i have little difficulties how to apply the GPO to that files. But this is a problem that i will deal later so, keep on composing
Thanks for your reply btw
