Finale question

Hi

I downloaded the 30-day trial version of Allegro and really enjoy the interface ect. If I get notation software, I'm definitely going with a version of Finale, but I also noticed that when I'm composing the piece won't run any longer than a few pages. Seeing the extent that Finale is used in the music world, I'm sure I just missed something, but how do I change the length of the piece?
