Well Robin, mate,

I like it very very much! I do enjoy especially Sienna's take into things. The whole thing is just excellent to what it is. Certainly, as Gardener says, impros get lost in a recording, but still the recording is an evidence to what all of us, listening to the mp3, missed! You just seem to communicate so well! (and the drummer seems great to what he does)

Score is great as well!

All the above with the reluctance of someone who doesn't know much about jazz, or listens to jazz at all...

Hey Robin,

I'm a philistine when it comes to Jazz but I really enjoyed the piece. The vocalist was awesome, reminds me slightly of some of Berio's vocal works. The violin sounded a little strange but then that's probably because I'm not used to hearing one in a jazz context. Certianly didn't detract from the piece.

Philistine or not, I appreciate the listen and comment! Glad you liked it.

Perhaps the violin sounded strange because it's actually a cello

I agree that losing the visual aspect and the spirit of being there 'in the moment' reduces some of the appeal of this sort of thing. BUT, if it's done right, the energy can be well conveyed even simply over audio... I'm glad you think we were successful - it's always a joy to work with musicians of such high calibre and the music is always better off for it!

I appreciate the listen - even though I'm slack at acknowledging it I'm glad you have ears that'll allow you to enjoy it! (Although, I can't imagine a genre of music that a fan of Marilyn Manson wouldn't enjoy )
