Gauss and Quadratic Reciprocity

I took my final exam in Number Theory yesterday and screwed it up. So much for my 4.0 average.

So I came home and composed this one.

I did this by playing the piano for a minute into Sonar, then played the horns for a bit and then the violins and then back to the piano. Then added everything else.

This is a combination of EWQLSO Gold XP and EWQLSO RA and GPO.

Here it is

Box.net - Free Online File Storage, Internet File Sharing, Online Storage, Access Documents & Files Anywhere, Backup Data, Send Files

Hope you enjoy.

Ron

Woah, now that was wild. I enjoyed in, the piano was something you don't hear everyday. Was it mostly improvised? If yes then that's a pretty damn good improvisation.

Also what are the patch names for the trumpets at the beginning? They're from EWQLSO, right?

The whole thing was improvised in about 2 hours. I spent another few hours just playing with the mix, getting it presentable.

The trumpet patch is
2 Trumpets/Effects/ F 2TP ARP FX

I found it the other day and wanted to use it so I popped it in this one.

The long run on the piano is something I do alot in my pieces, but the rest is just improv.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Ron

Nice dissonances at the piano part. Is there a sitar inside the piece? The piano runs sounded cool. Also, I thought the brass instruments were well done, expecially the trumepts. Is it only available in XP Pro? I only own the normal Gold. I can really feel your dissatisfaction after racking your brains out during examination but screwed up.

Well, better luck in futre exams!

My grade for the class was just posted and I got a C for the class. I have been a straight A student for the last 3 and 1/2 years and no longer have a 4.0. Oh well...at least I passed. I wasn't sure if I would even pass after that exam.

No sitar in this one, just a bunch of watergongs.

I don't know whether that patch for the trumpets is in gold or xp. I bought the gold bundle last month when they had the 2 for 1 sale.

I take one class this summer, so I will have that final exam. But this fall I take one class only and am graded on performance and a paper. So 1 more exam and I am done.

Thanks for the listen and the comments

Ron

Which Sonar are you using?

You have to tell Sonar where your VST Plugins are and then all of them will show up when you go to Insert/Softsynth.

When I loaded all of my Libraries, I put the VST dll files in one location so that I can use my VST's in Sib and in Sonar. When Sonar starts up, it scans for those files and then adds all of my VST instruments. I just go to insert softsynth and there they are. I suggest you go to Cakewalk.com and ask the experts there. The guys ther are fast and most of them know what they talking about.

Out of curiousity, what VST instruments are not showing up?
