GPO Volume problems

Hey everyone. Just got GPO for Sibleius 4. The instruments sound great, but some of the instruments seem to be playing really quietly (eg. Strings/Brass are much quieter than piano). I've checked the volume in the mixer, on my computer and made sure to add the proper dynamics.

And help greatly appreciated.

Fox.

The mod wheel at the side of the keyboard also changes dynamics.

Yeah thanks, I just discovered clicking the mod wheel omn each instrument, even without changing its volume, solves the problem.

Thats gotta be a glitch but ah well, works now XD

If you put dynamics in at the beginning, and change the settings so that instead of adjusting the velocity (default), they adjust the modulation, it solves the problem, and greatly simplifies things.

Yes. Sibelius 4 is good but Knotakt Player Gold makes it better - but really only cause of the improved sound library. I havn't got to grips with the subtlties like reverb/veolicty and things like that. If you ARE good at that sort of thing though, all the more reason to get Kontakt Gold.

I had kontact in sibelius 3 and it was a great improvement on the old midi but still not a patch on the sound quality in gpo. I really would recommend gpo over kontakt gold.

All the more reason to get Finale 2007 and be done with it. Yay for student pricing
