Grieg was the of the consise and brief form. This is very easily seen in his lyric pieces (lyriske stykker) for piano. Here he, with an almost ''poetic'' clarity, express the big in the small. Do you enjoy the lyric pieces? Have any favourites? Why?

"Erotikon" Op.43 No.5 - Written in 1886

"Wedding Dat at Troldhaugen" Op.65 No.6 (1897)- For it's light mood, & because it's the 1st Grieg Piece I heard. Originally Written under the title "The Well-Wishers are comming" in honour of the 50th Birthday Celebrations of a family friend, but memories of his own silver - wedding anniversary a few years earlier prompted Grieg to change the title.

For me these sum up Grieg's compositional nature - DREAMY

Damn you letehn for all eternity for addicting me to those pieces!!!!!! they are all so beautiful but...

TROLL! best one ever... it's troldtog in norwegian right? i heard someone play it in my music school a few days back... if you still need the sheets letehn, i think i'll can get the sheets if i ever hear that the person play again.
