Ok this is piece I spent at least 6 hours over (let's hope it wasn't wasted)

I composed it with my guitar in my hands, every note has been played, (it sounds way better on a real guitar though) The midi shortens the notes too much for it to sound the way I wanted.

I may post a Live recording of it later if you guys want to hear it played.

The MIDI also makes the notes sound a little distorted, so I'll probably post a recording later.

Well if you like it Good , If you don't like it Bad

Enjoy

One other note: I may make some modifications when I repost the recorded version.

Crap I forgot to write how this piece came around

Ok

Inspiration for Piece: I was born and lived half my life on the island Puerto Rico, and I thought I owed it something so I wrote a short piece dedicated to it

Obstacles when writing: Trying to avoid complete randomness, and repetiveness (the midi makes it worse)

Ok

Sounds like crap. If this is how you play guitar, I personally think you have a very unimaginative technique.

Maybe a recording could convince me otherwise.

That's exactly what it is.

I didn't mean to be harsh. It's not that you suck or anything, just what I heard sucks. Don't take anything to the heart, it's just a review.

Keep it up.

Well since this one is bad I'll just remember what I did wrong and write a better piece

Shaver that wasn't a review. It was just an excuse to insult him. You didn't even any reasons why the piece wasn't good. How the hell is he suppose to know what he didn't do?

My review:

What you did was basically trap yourself. You found one or two things, that you found sounded nice and never moved away from it. Just because the piece is short doesn't mean it cannot be different from part to part. Look at Lagrima. It is short, yet, it is very lovely and doesn't bore people, but it is only two parts. A B A. Try to add a section that counters your first section to add a little flavor and explore polyrythm

I see, I have played Lagrima, and I will improve on my next piece.

Thanks for not bashing me so hard like Chris Shaver
