Gypsy Scene

Hey everyone.

I haven't posted in quite a while, but I used to participate very frequently on the site as I'm My own Toccata. My time away from you all has been one of great personal growth and I believe that that is very present in my music.

This short work for piano depicts a gypsy dance around a fire. The melody is one of ascension. It rises with the energy of the dance. The accompaniment is repetitive as most gypsy music tends to be. Later, though, it is joined by some modern harmonies that give life to the piece. Then the original theme comes back only to end in an abrupt fashion.

I'm really looking forward to what you all have to say about this, so POST POST POST!!! Haha. Thanks guys.

Jon

Yeah, I try to make it a point to have my OWN style. I'm glad you like it!
I think that the repetitive accompaniment does not take too much away from the melody. I'm banking on that fact, anyway. If I'm wrong, someone needs to tell me, haha!Thank you for posting.
