the point of this game escapes me, with no discernable melody, one could just steal a progression from anyone they like and write their own melody over it

Can I use the entire piano for the accompaniment and later have a smaller instrument playing the melody? Cuz the left hand isn't enough to play my entire accompaniment.

No.. lets just postpone this until after the second Mozart installment in the Listening Contest series is over. Too many things going at once can get confusing and annoying.
