So, I started a thread earlier about the incosistancy of the Harry Potter scores, and said, let's just pick a new composer! Then people started getting excited...a little too excited? We shall never know. But I am here to give you, a YC Forum member, the chance to go down into history, an eternal glory, and write the opening to the next Harry Potter Film! Or some other piece of music that has to do with Harry Potter and the themes used in any of the movies.
The Rules:
- You must write a piece for orchestra using a theme that has been stated in the past five Harry Potter movies.
- The piece can be used as the opening, the end credits, a certain scence, or a certain character's theme.
- Since there is going to be an absence of an actual film with the music, we ask you to please explain what is going on in the scene, and what specific motifs belong to if being used.
- You must compose an original arrangement, and not just use the themes and re-ochestrate them. Do something different!
This Competetion will close on September 30, 2007.
