I have serious problem!
I wrote a very short piece, but since I use Finale 2002, I had to write the trills and tremolos as 64th notes like graces. Therefore, the scores that I have include those notes instead of musical signs. I have an bad quality mp3 made by a bad software, however; the scores are really weird...

What should I do?

Upload a score (.pdf) and midi, that should be enough.

If you don't know how to make pdfs go here: CutePDF - Create PDF for free, Free PDF Utilities, Save PDF Forms, Edit PDF easily.

Lightbulb John Preston Dennis - Submission

Alright, I have enclosed two separate pieces (or movements) of music for this competition. Something different that you will notice right off the bat is that I have added SATB to the orchestra. It really adds to the magic of the music!!

WARNING!! If you have not read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, please do not read any futher! These descriptions contain spoilers!

Variations on Hedwig's Theme

The first is the familiar Hedwig's Theme...except with a bit of a new feel to it. I have kept some of the runs the same, but most of them (especially the ones on the first two page) are my own. A lot of them are of course inspired by the virtuoso of John Williams' original score from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Tears of the Phoenix

The second piece is a totally brand new piece called Tears of the Phoenix. This music describes some of the feelings Harry is experiencing when his friend and headmaster Albus Dumbledore dies. (Taken from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) The melody itself, though original, does not stray far from the feel and magic of the Harry Potter films. PLEASE NOTE, this piece is not finish, but I have a large chunk finished. I'll probably post it in the large ensemble forum when I get it finished...if I get it finished before I leave on my two-year mission trip.

HERE ARE THE AUDIO FILES:

Harry Pottter Submission

I Hope I'm not too late. Here is my submission. It would probably work best in the end titles. The audio file can be found at SoundClick artist: stephenspies - Band page with MP3 music downloads on SoundClick.
