Juji, I agree with you there, but just because you feel this category shouldn't exist doesn't mean you should go around criticizing other people who post in it.

Well, if they insist on keeping the category there, then they should at least make sure the works that enter that category are qualified to do so. How would you feel if I posted all of my piano pieces under the Chamber music category (well, I play my piano in a chamber, that could be my argument), or my clarinet solo pieces under Major Works ("well, I worked on them for a week, and this is the most I've ever worked on a piece of music", could be my argument)? Even if I don't agree with a category, I have to respect that it's there and follow the rules.

And it seems that I, who like the so called "avant-garde" music as well as contemporary music, and who do not agree with the existence of that particular category, cared more about this forum than the people who naively post their works under this category, and pretend to be wise-asses by trying to get away with the vagueness of the term "avant-garde".

HEY!

I can edit otehr people's post! YAY ME! YAY being some kind of mod... yay!

Just discuss the piece at hand, will ya? This is getting tiring! It was moved out of the avant garde/ electronica forum, end of story. Let's move on... shall we?
