I love pop music

Here's an essay I wrote for a weblog

I LOVE POP MUSIC

Scott Weiland of the Stone Temple Pilots

From early days of folk tunes which Haydn used in his symphonies to Radiohead's "Bodysnatchers" or Jurassic 5, pop music has brought people together of all races, colors, creeds and backgrounds (slightly redundant) for the sheer pleasure of the sounds of this music. There many many many different kinds of sounds and styles under this large umbrella of "pop music". I won't say much, except that Philadelphia Freedom is a great song.

Thank you and good night ladies and gents :-)

To add to your Haydn example:

The Quodlibet from the Goldberg Variations (BWV 988) by Bach features folk (technically, pop) music from his time.

Also, if I don't get shot by the RIAA (or whatever British equivalent) for doing this, I may add a quote to Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up in a piece, symphony, or otherwise.
