My process for composing is improvisational. I throw something together, see if it works, and if it sounds terrible I try and get it not to. A lot of times if an idea/section/bar doesn't work I delete it and try again. I'm afraid forming a coherent fugue is still out of my league... perhaps a toccata, prelude, or fantasia?
I think fugues are made up of a main theme called the subject that is introduced first. An episode my separate subject and the answer, or the answer to the subject may sound sooner. The main theme will continue to play in different note ranges, while one voice will usually continue where the previous left off. The main precept in writing a fugue is to develop a piece with as little new material as possible.
The middle of this piece is a bit dead-ish, and will probably be developed or edited further. As it is, it sounds like the middle is more like a brief coda and the following part sounds unrelated to the main. Anachoro is Greek for 'leave'.
