I was under the impression that the pianist is Joe Hisaishi himself.

I suddenly have an urge to write a Wierdness for 10 Banjos and Viola.

If you wrote it for 10 violas and banjo, you'd still only hear the banjo.

Is there, indeed? I would have to listen to that! Do you have specific pieces to suggest? I have seen only some chamber music trios with such instruments, playing material (such as Piazzolla) arranged for such a trio.
