^ ditto. It's very well-written. I can't get touched by a MIDI...if any touching its done its more like a slap, but...thats not your fault.

I liked it, i don't know much about fugues so i can't say much more than that i liked it. And the first thing that came to my mind when i heard the theme was Bach's fugue in g minor, its the same rythm and the same general melodic direction (not interval)... and i love that fugue too!

Well thank you all for listening and commenting. I actually thought this up as a joke at first, I was going to title it "The spirit of Nico" or something like that. When I started writing it, I actually started taking it seriously though, I was intrigued by the possiblities of the counterpoint in an atonal setting. Also I haven't written anything atonal in a long time. It's quite a bit of fun. I hope to get some more reviews on this piece. Positive and/or negative (constructive criticism).
Thanks for listening.

I see a great potential in this piece to become something much bigger than it is. It's fairly short. That was the first thing that strike me. Somehow I expected this piece to last longer. But I guess you sticked to fugue form and didnt want to extend it longer. I think that it is very good start of a longer piece. I suggest you make this longer, maybe with more movements or just make this movement longer.

Overal, I liked the piece, it had a nice flow. Very good conterpoints. One down point would be the variety of note values you have used. The majority of the piece looked like 8th and 16th notes. Which looks much like the music in baroque. I cant quite tell if you did this on purpose. Because in such atonal music one expects more crazy things.

Starting from measure 8, I didnt like the long notes in Clarinet. I think this diminished the interesting rhythm which takes place in lower clarinets.

the section starting on measure 18 might proove problematic when came to performance. Although it sounds very interesting right now, its written in a bit awkward way that may performers can have trouble. When you have such passages of complex syncopations, try to find the best way for performers yet the same syncopations that you had in mind.

Apart from these, I liked your piece very much. I enjoyed it.
I hope you will work on this more because it sounds very nice and could be much bigger.
