Low Key...

This is one of my 'slower' Latin numbers. It's supposed to be really relaxing, smooth, but still groovy; My brother calls it a 'chill tune.' It sounds really cool live (espicially the trumpet part and the improv), but I don't have a recording yet...I'll put one up here when I do.
Not as much percussion as my other pieces, but I still managed to sneak in a vibe solo.
My bro wrote the sax part, our pianist wrote the synth and piano lines, and the one and only Robert Walker wrote the bass line and the neat cello doo-dads.
"What? Cello!?"
I also got to make use of my old practice bell-kit.

That was really cool. I don't think I have anything bad to say it. I thought "hmm it would be cool to have some nice latin percussion in here" and then right after that I heard congas. Awesome.

I would love to hear this recorded. I take it you are a percussionist?

I prefer to call myself...a vibraphonist-who-takes-care-of-all-the-percussion-needs-'cuz-we're-to-lazy-to-pay-a-percussionist.

I don't usually enjoy this type of music, but you pulled it off quite well. This is good, keep up the good work.

I'd probably just get some descent recording software (I use an old version of audacity and it works pretty well) and a couple different types of mics then record parts separately. It makes editing a lot easier as you can edit instruments individually.

Also, I love this piece. Its REALLY well done!
