Yeah, Hillary and I saw him live a few months back. He's a good player but much too mechanical for my liking.

I was actually thinking of putting up my own videos of me playing my own (much more emotional) arrangements of game tunes but I decided against it.

Mario music isn't too emotional. His style suits it quite well.

He's actually not that mechanical. Just that these video game pieces are technically really quite difficult, so that might come across to you as being mechanical. Plus the music is mechanical by nature.
