I've played my 16 bars over that one... it sounds someone playing the xylophone with a piccolo.

But it'll be fun.

ROFL: It is a xylophone.

I know, but you don't play it with a piccolo, do you?

Mark, thanks for clarifying things. Here's what's going to happen:

*PM me your files so that no one cheats.
*Btw, if you guys all agree on more measures, that's fine, but more measures mean a lower chance of the melodies actually harmonically "fitting".
*And to make it a little more interesting, we could all agree on one person to write a bass line.
*You guys can each choose your own instruments; I don't see the need for us to all agree on a common instrument.
*You guys can send me either a MIDI or an .MUS file.

Right now, I'd say that we all are still uncertain on a common time and key signature, and the number of measures to write. We could go for Mark's idea(G major, 6/8 time, 4 measures), or if everyone doesn't agree on it, we could do something else.

I'm in!

I will send you my part now (trombone)... It's going to be counterpoint-deluxe when it's finished
