MEGA AWESOME SONG?

Perhaps I have too huge of an ego, but it is a pretty cool song anyhow, perhaps a little short, but that is only because of what it was intended for.
Midi sequencing done in Guitar Pro and then imported over to FL Studio 7 where I used the Edirol Orchestral VST to get the sounds.

Enjoy!

it's ok. the midi performance is not really convincing though. the harmonies work and sound good, but overal, it's a bit too focussed on one melody which is not interesting.
put some more work into it and let us hear it again, that is, if you're willing to make this a longer piece.

ZING! my ego!

Thanks for critiquing, I don't think I'll be making it longer, as I'm the sort of dude who can't go back to something once he sees it as finished. Though I would probably agree with you in the lack of counter point, I usually manage to get some in there but this song seemed to have missed out.

Please don't call it a song if it's not a song Sorry, that's just a bit of a pet peeve of mine as a singer.

I did really like the peice though, I like the orchestration. As rob said, it does need to go somewhere else.

PS- by the way, it seems the best way to get some constructive feedback around here is to come out with a big boastfull title- then everyone gives you real crits trying to cut you down to size, while the humble get nothing

I never considered it this way, but you're so right!

Your piece sounds good, you could just write a contrasting section them play this again... that would make it more complete, and you wouldn't have to start all over

The first half sounds gibberish but the second half is very good.

This is pretty good. The violin sounding instruments in the beginning are a bit too much in my opinion. I did like the part with the contrabass (?) playing a constant rythm, the piano like instrument a constatnt melody, and then other instruments joining in with the same melody. It creates a strong charge of emotion.
