Ok, I'm working on a couple different approaches to harmonizing this tune. This is a simple approach. Chords on left hand, melody on right. I do like my use of G major chords throughout in spite of the tune being in g minor. Kinda reminds me of renaissance harmony. Only that part, though.

Ok, here's a different approach. This time for jazz band.
I changed the rhythm of the melody only enough to make it swing. I also added a couple of emebelishments that don't change the harmonic integrity of the melody. I added the embelishments after I harmonized the tune.

Here's a simple one by me. The MIDI one is fairly standard, while the audio version has fairly nice samples and really funky reverb!
OOOOOH - that deceptive cadence at the end is NASTY![u]

Hahaha! I remember it now - I remember where I first heard this theme. It is VERY similar to the theme of the minuetto movement of Grieg's piano sonata.

Thank god I resolved that... It's been bugging me for months.

Just a note: I've put this melody back up again. Check the first post.

This was fun. A duet in two part counterpoint for cello and flute, a particularly beautiful combination
