Melody for Trombone and Piano

Hello all, new piece here.

The style of this piece leans a bit towards romanticism, and I tried to capture the more soulful side of the trombone with this slowish piece.

Keys used: G-minor, D-major and D-minor.

Length: 3:05

Very nice and professional souding variation piece. It's feel like a folkstune to me. I was about to have me a big glass of beer a do a little dance to it. But then it ended. So my only critism is make it a bit longer next time.

Beautiful piece you've got there. Absolutely love m.32, when the mood changes from a somber death march to a gay celebration. Reminds me, on this cold winter night, that spring is just around the corner.

However, I take issue with the way you have notated your rhythms. I feel that your placement of the barlines doesn't always reflect the actual points of emphasis in the music. I find that, in many parts of the piece, I'll "feel" the barlines somewhere completely different than where you've got them notated.

Could you please give me a example or two of where this happens so I can look into it?

Hmm. Oh, silly me. I was looking at the MIDI in Sibelius, and Sibelius got the bars all wrong. It looks fine in the PDF score. Never mind.
