Why thank you, I enjoyed writing it. Doing little things like this is helping me with my writer's block.

My entry!

I guess this also qualifies as my first compositional entry.

I decided to go with a wind quartet with additional double bass. Yay.

You have no idea how much I laughed at the ending...

That was great, I'm in tears over here... you play fiddle don't you? I'll bet... I burst out laughing at the ending when you threw those fiddle-fifths in there.

This sounds soo much like something from a Bugs Bunny cartoon, were you going for that? It was hilarious all over, I even heard an odd hint of Beethoven, on several occasions!

Hats off!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I saw the comic potential the theme had, so I just ran with it. In a serious contrast, I did intend for the running-sixteenth section to sound a little Beethovenish.
And yes, I happen to be a violinist.

And now for something completely different:

fiddledeedee.MID

Supposed to be a choir...but the midi version of a choir is apparently an organ. Ah well.

Ha ha, like the Monty Python humor.

I'm listening to the piece right now.

Wow, I loved how you slowed it down soo much, it gave it a completely different character, I almost didn't even recognise it at first. I was listening for the melody, and it never came. When the thing ended, I finally realised that you must have slowed it down so much that I hadn't recognised it. Very interesting, I may use this from now one as a way to come up with variations on a theme.

Sounds like it would be hard to sing, though.

Does anybody know where this theme is from, since Anders isn't here to tell us? I hate when the person never tells where the theme came from, I like to know that sort of thing.
