Ok Call me crazy, but this is a short piece I wrote at about 1:00 am my time a few days ago, I have spent a good bit of time revising and editing, and I think it sounds better than anything I've done so far, the piece itself is a set of Variations, so don't call me stupid for coming up with a real random piece, they're Supposed to sound different, (they're Variations for petes sake)

Thanks

Please L + R (listen and Review)

I know what a variation is and everything, but this piece doesn't really doesn't seem like it. It doesn't seem random, more like there is a melody and verses.

Anyway, not bad for a midnight composition. Some of my best ideas come at night... and most of my worst.

Well, what a "variation" exactly is can vary a lot. Seeing your sheet music, I'm sure I probably would have called the piece a series of variations because I could see the same motifs and phrases and whatnot. But listening to it makes a world of difference a lot of the time.

Ha you also compose during the night? I find that I can express myself and just compose much easier during night than during day. Don't ask me why.

Anyway back to the song.

The melody is ok a bit repetative at piont but that is no big problem at all. I just find it as if the song hsa no dynamics, if ou understand.

I like the atmosphere you create, some kind of midnight dance around a fire in the woods during full moon. But you still give a nice gentle imperssion of spanish music?

Well that is all I could say with you 1:28 min music

Well I have alot of spanish influence in my guitar style

Yes I do sometimes compose in the middle of the night, I have to get up immediately and finish it otherwise I can't remember in the morning.

Anyway I am working on giving my works more substance (more than just like a minute each) and I will post my next work sometime in the near future (can't promise when)

Wow, I like the illustration you mentioned, really wasn't what (I) was trying to express in this piece, I trying to express a feeling of life, like the ups and downs, like when I go into a minor key that's the down parts of life, and then everything is alright in the end. But still, you can't expect everyone to have the same feelings about the piece as you did when writing it

"When a great composer writes, he has the perfect tune in his head. And when he passes away, we are left with his piece, and all we can do is try to interpret it as best we can, no two people interpret a piece the exact same way"
