Modulation

Hey Guys,
I am stuck on something. Im writing a short piece for piano (prelude) and the piece originally started in D-flat, and has now moved into G major (by chance, more than choice)...and now i want to get back to D flat again.
Can someone please aid me in this transition between two VERY unrelated keys...in as few bars as possible.

Dont worry about how ive actually composed the piece, and the speed it is at...any help will be great on ideas to modulate

The Prelude itself

Ok, so no need for that modulation, I kind of just didnt end up going to C major in the end.

Here is a .PDF and Midi...its only a 20 second piece...but so were some of chopins preludes.

There is really something missing, or there is a section where I just feel uneasy because it seems to have like...and empty gap where there could be a few measures of fiddling. Please have a look and give me any suggestions you might have for the piece. This is one of my older works (last year) which i decided i needed to finish.

Here's a few progressions I'm coming up with at the piano here...

C -> A -> Ab -> Db

C -> Fm - > F#m -> Ab -> Db

More of a pop modulation... C -> C/Dm -> Ab/Gb -> Ab -> Db
C/Dm means a D minor chord with the C root underneath it.

For a quick change in mood C -> C(#11) -> G -> Bb -> Bb(#11) -> F -> GbM7 -> Ab -> Db

C -> A -> Ab(aug) -> Ab -> Db ... or just C -> Ab(aug) -> Ab -> Db

I hadn't looked at the piece, I want you to do what YOU want, it is your composition. So, I made a few suggestions here, if you would like to take any of them and play around with them and see if any fit, go ahead. Don't be afraid to repeat some parts, for instance doing a C -> A twice to see if it works better. Just play around with them, if they don't help, they don't. If they do, well jolly good.

You could also try modulating into a different key first and then trying to get back to Db from there. This is called tonicisation if I am not mistaken. I can't spell it, though...

Well, I can't help you on modulation too much. What I know is that you should try finding some chords that act as a pivot between those 2 keys.
Apart from that, this is a nice piece! I've enjoyed listening to it. Do drop me a PM when you finish this
