that would make sense to, how about a certain bracket of numbers of measures, like between 50 and 100 measures or something?

but if you write say 2 minutes at adagio you've done significantly less composing than if you'd done 2 minutes at presto

Yeah, measures is best, and I'm up for composing for keyboards (although I hate it, solo melodic instrument anyone?)
