Monthly Composing Contest

I'm inclined to believe that monthly competitions would be more doable without official judgings. Perhaps pitting submissions up against the public vote would work? Problems might then arise if a large number of would-be voters are in fact competitors, though... I suppose an alternative might be to ask the reviewers to decide which one they think is best, or enlist just one or two judges.

Hmmm.. Any way to prevent a composer from voting for their own piece?

A poll should work rather nicely. It shows who is voting for whom, so if we spot any composer voting for himself, we could simply disqualify the vote. How's that sound?

Damn, count me out. Looks like I'm gonna be really busy over the next month. I might join in on a later month though.
