Same thing as Letehn's motive - do anything you want with this short fragment. You may change the rhythm, even the intervals of the notes, etc. Loosely follow the structure of the motive, like direction of motion. If you wanted to expand the intervals in the motive but keep it sounding like the original, expand each interval equally. Or, change up the rhythm and keep the notes the same, etc. Anything will work. Go crazy!

Remember - any length is good, and any ensemble is good as well.

Here's something really short, but catchy and fun I did with the motive. It's for piano and clarinet, and it's about 45 seconds long. I'll probably add more to it, and will most likely have a real live recording of it within a couple of weeks!

just decided to see if i could come up with anything sounding remotely musical. very short (4 measures in 2/4) but i will extend. wanted to hear your suggestions before taking it further.
