Hello all!

FIRST OF ALL SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

for this si my first post i shall introduce myself:

My name is Luka, I'm from Slovenia and I'm 18yo self teaching piano boy

Am...First I must say that I don't realy have that much knowlage about music. I mean, I play piano for 1,5 years now and I'm learning alone, by myself. Before that i was learning to play a violin for 5 years but i quit. And about 4 years after that I stopped the music thing I stared to play piano. My father brought home some old synthesizer and i just started to play...don't know why but now I LOVE IT and i'm sorry that I ever quit music. That's my intro...now to the piece

What inspired me...don't know...wanted to try how my music would sound like i guess (or maybe is just a practice for me to recover my music knowlege from the past ...may be)

It took me let's say 2,5 days to write it....

that's it, don't know what to say listen to it and please COMENT it...

p.s. forum is great, a lot of great (young) composers are here and i would like to say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

See ya, Luka

Reviews aren't instant around here - you have to get used to waiting for a while to get one.

Ok - I listened to this, and I think it's actually very good work for a beginner.
What you've written is mostly pretty effective. You use sequences quite well. (i.e. a phrase that repeats, while descending or similar)
The ending was a bit random though. Where you suddenly have the piano go far higher than it does throughout the rest of the piece.
I suggest you keep writing, and see how you progress - post more things on here. The best way to learn is sometimes by experience, and I think that's a good way for you. You could learn theory as well though.
Btw, etude means study - you were asking is that the correct name. Well if you wanted the piece to be a technical study for piano, then yes. Even if it has some resemblance to a study piece, then it's probably fine to name it that.
Good work - keep writing!

I guess I'll just keep writing some more stuff and when anything is done I'll post it right away Oh and yes I could get used to wait a bit longer then expected for my first post. But I think everybody wants their replyes quick when they post their FIRST song

Actually, I disagree with Daniel (hey, that's my name, too... must be a genius thing...):
I like the ending with the high notes. The song is not dreary or anything, but it is definitely not a whimsical song. The last two notes left a smile of amusement on my face--though agreeably it is aurally a little off the usual, it idea is incontrovertibly effective.

Overall I liked it; I really don’t have much to say, piano is not my expertise.

And being a newbie myself, I appreciate how long it can take for someone to reply!
