New Years 2008 Op.70

I started writing this peice this morning can anyone give me some tips on how to continue it.

That's a good start.

I think maybe two more chords after the last one, that could lead into a tempo and possibly a key change. That makes the piece faster and brighter - showing the entry of the new year.

Then you could possibly use the two clarinets in harmony as the melody.

Yeah, thats good. Although there's no real tempo change, but thats personal preference.

It still feels as though it's waiting for something to happen, as though there's a slight drag.

See what other people think.

I'm using Finale notepad so I don't have tempo changes sorry.

There was a couple of notes in there that sounded a little off, other than that, good job on it...especially on a work done in NotePad....but yeah, there was a spot where there was a potential tempo change, but like you said, you can't do it....with notpad. there was to many whole notes and chords, you should some moving lines in between the whole notes to make it a little more exiting, since I was getting bored of hearing the whole notes....
But I like what you have so far and encourage you to keep writting it, and one day if you do get a payed program you can add some tempo changes. I think it has potential, but NotePad is not letting you work as good as you can.

Nevermind it's just a demo
