New Year's Competition

The challenge is:

To write a chamber piece (string quartet, woodwind quintet, etc.) that reflects the feelings and thoughts felt at New Year's. There is no time limit on the piece.

Entries must be posted in this thread by January 1st.

The judges are: Mahlon, IHoldthePenHaha (head judge), and sirgregsalot.

The judges must review each composition and score it on a scale from 1 to 10. The judges will PM the head judge (IHoldThePenHaha) their scores. Then the head judge will tally the scores and announce the winner in this forum!

Happy Writing!

....11 days? for an orchestral piece? You realize that's either an extremely short piece, or a longer unfinished one......and that most of the composers here either not capable of writing much more than that or can write that fast/well, but are simply not interested in doing that much work during the holidays.

I think if new year's is the deadline, at least make it a chamber piece....that way it could be fun and more people would be interested.

Good idea, although not many will enter because of the short notice.

I just noticed this today, so I probably can't do anything. Umm.... push the deadline back maybe? I don't think very many people will get anything in if anyone at all.

Enigmus- You're right. I just realized how few people would enter... Is it OK to push the deadline to January 5?

I'll PM Pricewalden.
