Night on a Silent Hill

Avant Garde style piano solo piece. Performed by me in a concert. I've never composed anything that was really in that style so I wanted to give it a try. It was for Composition I in university.

I'll add the sheet music as soon as I scan it since it is hand written.

Wow! quite an interesting and thoughtful work!

It certainly deserves a comment.. and I can't believe there wasn't one already.

I thought that the climax was BEAUTIFULLY set up by the silent and pensive notes you present at the beginning.

what exactly did you do to the piano?

Anyway, the climax was almost unexpected and released the tension you set up earlier. Good work.

I second Mael's comments - the sudden climax was great. But I feel there could more of these pieces. I seems almost as a prelude to pieces exploring the piano in this style.
