O, Magnum Mysterium

Wrote this setting of the latin text last year for "Academy Voices" at my college. Went down well in a concert, but the performance wasn't great. I believe there's a recording at college somewhere...

Let me know what you think

I wish I could hear this with real voices. Synths just never do choirs justice. Anyway, I thought it was nice. There were time when I thought it was going to go into the dies irae, but then it changed routes, making it your own. The melody could vary a little more, but overall nice job.

I like it (although I would love to hear a live recordings.) One particular chord reminded me of Turandot. I think the use of dissonance was very tasteful.

Great choral piece. I agree with hob, I found voice synths disturbing to the ear.

This is a very nice piece here. I really like the use of dissonance.
There were a few spots where a big V7 chord came up, and I felt, well cheated out of a cadence. This happens at around bar 6, the forth beat. I feel as if the V7 was really out of context. I think I also happens in bar 32.
That's my only real issue with the piece. Besides that I really enjoyed it. Great job!
