Wink

Hello! Recently I finished my new music project ”“ a game soundtrack. I came up with the game title “Lord of Fire”¯ and went to work. Well here is the result - say what you think!

(You are allowed to freely distribute these songs to other as long as it’s non profitable and I get credit for my music/work)

Lord of Fire - Theme
With my background as a trance producer this song was a real pleasure to do. It may be a bit unorthodox to make an adventure theme song a classical/trance mix ”“ but hey! I think it worked out really good.

Lord of Fire - Story
To understand why this song sounds like it does you need to know the game story. The story tells how the hero in his childhood discovered that he possessed powers of another world. The people feared him because of this and banished him from society. That’s why the song has a rather sad beginning. But then our hero wanders far in the world and becomes a great magician and warrior, and the song becomes more optimistic.

Lord of Fire - Town
Well the town melody is an important ingredient in all adventure games. This melody was produced some months before I started this project. I just got the melody in my head one day and put it on print.

Lord of Fire - OverWorld
When you wonder the huge adventure world you need a song to keep you engaged.

Lord of Fire - Boss
With inspiration from FFMQ I did this battle song.

Lord of Fire - Ending

Overall, I was impressed - even if alot of it was very similar. ^_^

Can I just ask - did you use Reason to make this? I use the program myself, and the samples sounded very alike.

Yes! ppl say it's easy to hear Reason made songs.... guess it's true then
Good old Reason.... I love that program . if only it could support VST plug-ins...

By the way, what do you mean "even if alot of it was very similar"?
Maybe there is something I can improve - just give it to me

It's the style, it's all very technoish (except the Desert Palace one). It's suitably different, really - on a second listening, there's actually a fair bit of variety. Maybe you could look into some different samples for future tracks, though - if you didn't already, the DigiBass one is superb.

Yea, you’re right ”“ my techno age really made me a 4/4 beat guy . I actually changed the ending song to fit my worked in beat compulsion. But I will get better soon...

What is “DigiBass”¯?

Thanks, the desert song was a pleasure to do ”“ just as all unusual songs. But I just have to tell you... it’s a 4/4 beat song!

DigiBass is a Reason patch (under Bass -> Synth Bass) - and it's awesome to work with (it just sounds really nice).

Prelude seems a little empty, I think maybe one more instrument in there would help it establish a firm mood. However, Harbour is a very appropriate and successful track.
