Orchestral Scoring Session Report

Hello everybody,

after I got back from scoring a German comedy called "Ausbilder Schmidt - Der Film" in Prague a few days ago, I decided to put up a little report about the sessions including photos and a video.

You can find the report at: Robin Hoffmann - Composer - Orchestrator - Arranger

All the best

Robin

Fantastic! That was interesting and amusing to read, thank you very much for sharing the experience with us. It must be quite the feeling.

Great read! I actually just was in Prague for a couple of days working with an orchestra in the beginning of April. I DO hope you got to taste some Czech beer while you were there (if you mentioned it in your report I missed it).

I'm always so glad not to be a film music composer though, when I'm reading stuff like this, or talking with some film music student friends So much stress, so much time pressure all the time... Horrible! (But I'm sure also very exciting.)

And I must say, your bio looks quite impressive. And you're just 10 months older than me... I seriously need to hurry up!

Thanks guys!

Well, I didn't get to taste the Czech beer as I'm not so much into beer anyway but I know it's supposed to be great

And yeah, you're right, sometimes composing for film is extremely stressful, but having the orchestra play your stuff after you have worked for weeks or months on it is just the moment that's worth doing all that

All the best

Robin
