Part one of "The Human Experience Suite"

This is part one of my Suite entitled "The Human Experience". These Five short pieces represent five plesent experiences people go through in life. I would love your input about the peices so that is will help me dicide which one I might concider to submit to the "Thirtieth Annual Young Composer Competition" help by the National Association of Composers USA (NACUSA).
Your opions would greatly help...

How did you create those midis? All the instruments play in like totally different tunings...

I would choose the last one if I had to, "Growing Up Together". It really sounds tender, and reflects maybe better than the others what it tries to. The first one, the love theme, is also good at this point. The "New Life" part begins quite well, I think, but I felt it messing up as it went on. The other two I found weaker than the rest.

I cannot advice you much more precisely, I'd love to have more skill than I do just now on orchestration -I wouldn't dare that sort of group myself by now. Anyway, there's a passage on the last piece (measure 41 and so on) that troubled me. Too dense a texture, I find the octaves on piano's right hand (which I supose are to be heard) quite lost. I wouldn't give the left hand those insistent chords, on mid-low register, save you're looking for a really special effect.

On another matter, if you're considering submitting one of these pieces, I would spend some time tiding up the score

Keep sharing.

mvt. 1 - for the love of Bob, fix the piano left hand notation. (two eighths, half, quarter... it's not that hard)
mvt. 2 - the piano part is tiresome, and the movement lacks any rhythmic interest.
mvt. 3 - finally, some kind of rhythmically interesting part. But you've notated it incorrectly.
mvt. 4 - yay, relief from the omnipresent piano!
mvt. 5 - muddy, the piano chords are too low and will just muddy up the ensemble.

My biggest problem with the piece is the fact that it's too much of the same thing. The piano is present in the vast majority of the measures, and always keeping time with incessant block chords or arpeggios. The other instruments seem like afterthoughts, with highly uninteresting parts.

The score needs attention, there are a lot of layout errors and incorrectly notated rhythms.
