A Piece For Strings - Please Send me Feedback!

I have recently finished this piece and would appreciate some feedback on it. I'm trying to decide whether or not I should add another middle section or if it is too repetitive so if you could leave me some suggestions that would be great! Thanks!

Thank you. Do you know how to turn a Finale file into a midi file? I know how to turn it into a wav file, but not a midi file.

It might be worth downloading Finale Notepad. It allows you to listen to .mus files, which a lot of the compositions are written in this format.

You can download it (free) from here.

Hi,
I like it. The second section is very good, although I'm not 100% about the glissando's in the cello part. Maybe it's just me.
I haven't been composing for a long time, and so I'm sometimes incorrect about things like that, but for me, a slight change in the cello part with no glissando's, and you're deffinatley onto something!
Welcome to YC by the way, I see you're our newest member

Thanks for the feedback! The string ensemble at my school is reading this piece for me right now and I could go either way with the glissandos - it sounds good sometimes, depending on how the cellist plays it. Thanks again!

Yeah, I'm sure it does depend on the cellist themselves, maybe it's just finale itself...

I just added a MIDI file - I didn't know how to create one from Finale before, so for those of you willing to critique I would be happy to have some feedback. Thanks!
