Prelude for Flute, Harp and Strings

Hey guys,

This is a short prelude that i wrote. I plan on using it as the introduction to a suite i'm writing for the same instrumentation.

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks,

Very nice, but too short in my opinion! I guess thats that point, but I think that even as an intro, it could be longer. But very nice job!

Very nice, but it really needs to be listened to in the context of a wider piece of music to be fairly commented on.

Yes I agree with you there; I intend to have it as the prelude to a suite. I'm hoping for the suite to be comprised of 6 or 7 shortish pieces; so far I have 4 about
2-3 minutes in length

Should be posting soon

Thanks for the reviews

This is nice, you create a very strong atmosphere. I agree it would be good to see it in the context of other pieces: the final chord (Bb D Eb) for instance, while interesting, isn't very final in itself; did you mean it to thematically link with the next movement? If not I would suggest a more conventional cadence at the end, ending on an Ebm chord. But overall this is very evocative, especially with the harp writing (looks hard though). Good work, I'm certainly excited to see the whole suite!
