This is one of my favorite works of string orchestral music. It is quite captivating in my opinion.

Truly, Williams is an amazing orchestrator.

His fantasia for greensleeves isn't bad either, normally I disliked the tune but Williams made it believable.

Try out his 4th symphony, quite a whopper.

This is one of the few orchestral pieces by Vaughn-Williams I care for. I tend to prefer his contemporaries, such as Howells and Holst.

I especially enjoy English composers of the previous generation, such as Charles Villiers Stanford (who was actually Irish) and Hubert Parry.

If you like the 4th, just try the 5th!
