A Recent Piece for Piano and Orchestra

From an un-announced project in British Theater- this piece is called Devotion.
Composed and orchestrated by myself, the piano arrangement was written and performed by pianist Rinat Tregermann.

Comments and critique would be be welcome
Enjoy!

How embarassing...
The storage folder was set to Private... that's taken care of, should work now

Omri

This is very good. It's always nice to get a live performance as well, so congratulations on that.

The orchestration flows along well and you have some nice dynamics working here as well.

Overall a very enjoyable piece.

Well done

Ron

Thanks Ron,
but this is not a live performance, save the piano - it's 100% sampled
Glad you liked the piece!

Omri.

I had a feeling that was the case, but didn't want to mention that. Still a nice piece.

Hi Omri.

A nice track indeed! I don't know the future plans for the theatre and how it will be performed, but the only grips I have with it at the moment, is that the piano (reverb wise) is placed differently than the rest of the orchestra. It doesn't make huge differnet between samples vs live, which is always great and the live feeling that the piano gives is always a plus, since it fools audience to think the whole thing is live!

It does get a bit monotonous since it turns into the circle of chords quite a few times, and orchestration is not ample to make it breathe and make it change. But this is me, and a personal opinion, so not valid really. The whole thing sounds very good for the theater, so excellent job in all!

And thank you for sharing!

Nikolas,
I take your personal opinion to be very valid actually
It does repeat, but that's mainly as it was written per directorial instructions- to repeat.
Clearly in the play itself it'll be a live performance, but that will only happen in a few months' time.
Thank you for an honest and kind critique!

Omri.
