You're welcome to try the parts out yourself, and a bassist too. Any specific concerns could be addressed and I could revise. Look out for bowing errors and the like, small stuff, it's liable to be there.

As for the warm-and-fuzzy, I LOVE major 7th chords, absolutely my favourite of all time, and I was going for warm and fuzzy. Doesn't nostalgia make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside anyways?

I might reconsider or change some of the 'Scotch Snaps' around, maybe alter the harmony to make them sound more in place. I was trying to add the slightest hint of bluesy tang to it. With the added blue notes is how I sing it, so I just need to support that better to make it more convincing. Plus, it is a Scottish folk air, so having a snap in there is done a little tongue-in-cheek, if you know what I mean.

Thank you for your comments and indeed considerations, I would be beyond delighted if this were recorded, I've yet to have anything performed by any more than a mediocre high school ensemble, let alone recorded.

As a last note, another reason I chose this odd grouping is so 'cello and bass players could go off and do their own thing, rarely do they get the chance to do that.
