Actually, Artisimo, I'd begun to wonder about that myself. Some days I like that tempo, others it feels too fast. That's the tempo I originally heard in my head, and I always go with that to begin with.

As usual, you have a great piece of music under your belt.

I've thought very hard about all the wind piece that I know and can't think of any that a melody from this piece could have been lifted from. Anyway, I am a sucker for a good slow movement, so I'm looking forward to hearing that when you get around to it. For now though, you have a winning start to your first movement. Great stuff.
