Hey!

I've emailed Finale because I heard that I could export to .mid files with Notepad Plus, and they said Notepad Plus is not available anymore and I have to upgrade to Printmusic which costs $90 bucks! So, I was curios if you guys here know of a different program I can compose in rather than Notepad, or a way I can export my scores to .mid, or some other way to make them with Notepad and still use Gigastudio sounds. I need something REALLY cheap or free because I spent almost all of my available cash on Gigastudio.

Thanks
God bless
Tommy

You could investigate open source software, like rosegarden. With paying for software, you are often paying for the removal of a big learning curve - so be prepared to either pay for software or spend time learning how to use a program such as Rosegarden.
