Scales

I'm not certain were to put this really, andybody got some recomendations practising scales for clarinet? I've been learning all major scales, I've made a sheet that shows how I practise. Could anybody help me make a similar one for the minor scales? I practise scales Starting on E (wich is the lowest tone on the Clarinet) then I play in tvo octaves and up to the third tone (in the E scale G#) then down again, changing to F major and so on up til the next E. I'm adding a midi and a sibelius file showing this.

hmmm.... not a bad way to practise. I never practised a scales like this, i mainly did diatonic scales... do you? you could add the "chords"... not sure how it's said in english but after the c maior you play C-E-G-C-G-E-C. through as many octaves as possible. Do you practise in 16ths? you should. as far as i understand your 5 year now, right? try building up speed.

You could make a simular practise for minor scales. only you'd have to play a minor scale onice natural, onice harmonic, and onice melodic with the natural backward + chords.... That would be 4x11 = 44 scales! survive that and you'll become the best clarinetist in the history of mankind! Just kidding, of course... make one for natural, one for harmonic and one for melodic (with the natural when going back of course). I'm gussing you know how since you did this already... if you don't... well... we'll try to explain.

But what system do you play on German on Bohem? im not sure if all applies for the both of them...

erhm, I have no idea what system it is, I know vaugle that there might be another system then the one I played on, I think it's the german I use though it's the standard in sweden and all countries I know. And yeah I'm working on speed, the notevalues in the score really aint that importent, how ever, I'm working a lot on staccato cause I'm louzy at that and my height play needs improvment too, but there's always something to work with and chords might come, we'll see, in the future I might add that on, and minors, I'm gonna end up with 1 hour warm up with scales and chords

I think you're using the Boehm system, that's what they use in sweden and all countries that you know. (Expect Germany.)
