Not what I thought a drinking song would be; maybe the stumbling, ranting, and self-doubting walk back home -> part?

A very memorable melody and beautifully chromatic.

Wonderful

actually very pretty music.

beer in Bavaria, eh?

the image that came to mind was AFTER too many Beers in Bavaria, out on the sidewalk, picking up your clothes that your wife is tossing out of the 2nd story window, while you try to explain "but honey! it was with guys from work!"...

some of the harmony reminded me of somethng I wrote a long time ago for a film.

I enjoyed this piece very much. I liked the exchange of the melody and the color that the strings in the background produced while they weren't playing the melody.

However, I must say that I was a little disappointed - I was expecting it to shift dramatically to some fun, upbeat polka or waltz and it just didn't happen . I'd like to think that if I were enjoying a beer in Bavaria, It would soothe my troubles and I'd be up and dancing on the table tops
