I wrote this by taking a simple central theme and layering down new parts over it. The first twelve measures set out the central theme and then the theme shifts down through each of the instruments as the first violin intoduces the new layer. This theme gets broken about a third of the way through the piece the idea is repeated and eventually the theme returns as well. Well, here you are then:
