I'm in, and the instrumentation is no problem for me, as I typically write for those instruments anyway. I might add chorus, if I may... and piano and harp are optional, right?

Yes, chorus should be fine.

Yes, piano and harp are optional, as denoted by

I may enter, but on the condition that I am in possession of Finale within the next few weeks...which is unlikely to happen.

I would like to enter, but I'm still waiting on my notation software being delivered. If I feel I have enough time once it gets here, would I be allowed to enter? And are there only 8 slots?

I know I'm new, but this would be exciting and I hope you consider adding me. The motivation is there.

I'm excited, though, to see the results of the other contestants.

Well you should enter before the closing date (I'm not sure what that is yet)

There are not only 8 slots - we always just keep the next slot open so people don't think the competition is full.

Okay - thanks for replying.
I'd like to enter if it's okay with everybody.

No, sorry. This is orchestral only. We'll make sure to plan for a concert band/wind ensemble competition in the future, though!
